In a quiet corner of the 8th arrondissement, 3AMINDSET makes games as 3AMindset, an independent game studio. We design calm puzzle games for Android inspired by Japanese rock gardens, in which players rake patterns into sand around a few carefully placed stones.

Each garden shows a pattern to recreate. The challenge is choosing the order of strokes so that the rake never crosses a line it has already drawn, which turns each design into a gentle problem of planning.

Mistakes are smoothed away with a single tap, and there are no timers or scores. The sound of sand and a slow bamboo flute accompany every stroke, and finished gardens can be admired from different angles as the light changes through the day.

Later gardens add moss, water and stepping stones, each introduced with one simple example. The illustrations are minimal, with soft shadows and plenty of space, so that the patterns remain the centre of attention.

The aim is a few quiet minutes of focus, the kind of mindset the studio is named after.

A free mode lets players design their own garden without any goal, and a gallery keeps every finished pattern. The game is fully playable offline and saves progress after each stroke, so it can be picked up and put down at any moment. Gardens are grouped into small collections inspired by the seasons, from cherry blossom on the gravel in spring to a light frost on the moss in winter. A short breathing guide can be shown before a session for players who want to slow down, and the whole game can be played with sound switched off. Each garden takes between three and ten minutes, which makes it easy to fit a short pause into a busy day without losing the thread of a longer session.
